I think she is cross-eyed

I painted her cross-eyed?

She is charming just the same

The apples will ripen and so will the plums and the pears ...while I'm off to new adventures

I hope that:

Our house sitters, from the big city, won't mind the rooster crowing at 4 o'clock in the morning

Stanley, our gentleman cat, will not bring mice and voles to the front door

That the chickens will not go into a molt, I have promised our friends fresh chicken eggs every morning

That the Charolais bull and his girls will not decide that the "grass is greener on the other side"

That it will not freeze so our house guests can enjoy the bounty of the garden and flowers to bring into the house

I could learn how to make home made wine

But I don't want to

I have tasted home made wines

And I still don't want to

My "Interlaken" grapes are perfect table grapes.  They are also perfect for my famous  (there is that word again)  "Champagne Grape Jelly".  And, I have bottled grape juice.  Didn't even have to add sugar. 

I have more.  Now what should I do with them?

Any Ideas?

Hollyhocks are so beautiful, enjoy them in the house

Important:  Before placing Hollyhocks into water,  singe end of stems over a flame for 20 seconds. 

Cut side shoots only (this method does not work with main stalks)

How can it be?  A year has passed with the blink of an eye.  This Saturday our little town is open for another Artist Studio Tour

And I paint for the Poor

Now I can sit back and enjoy the day with my friends

They are out!

Three days ago, I placed a few hollyhock blossoms into dry sand

Too much to do

Another year and another Artist Studio Tour, the charolais bull is in the pasture

My kiln is working overtime and so am I

Pottawotomie plums are the first plums of the year.  They make great pancake syrup

There are flowers to dry for Potpourri, hollyhocks are delicate and roses are the easiest to dry

Peppers are growing fast and so are the cucumbers, must have some for the winter months

Canning for the sweet tooth, peaches are next

There should always be time for a glass of wine.

Soon I must take time and see what I need to pack in my little roller suitcase.  22 pounds of luggage has served me well in the past.

I don't know if that will be enough for Paris and Marrakech.
