An Invitation from "The Tablescaper"

The Tablescaper is having an Anniversary

"Where do you keep it all - Part Two ?"

I keep most of the "good stuff" in this Italian Cabinet

China from Bavaria

Crystal from Austria

This cabinet is in my dining room, it could be used in any number of rooms and hold any number of different items

I like my hand painted dishes out in the open...
ready to use

Hand painted dishes from Italy

Ready for the next Fish Dinner

Albarelli,  hand painted Apothecary Jugs holding my dried herbs

Maiolica Plates I painted.  Being showcased in a plate rack, hand carved by Gene

More hand painted Maiolica, some I painted some I have collected over many years

And collecting just for the sheer joy of color

Have a lovely weekend my dear blogging friends and drink a toast to all of your Hostesses and Hosts

Gina

  1. I love it all, but it is the ceramics that I "covet". I think the bright colors appeal to my gypsy soul.

Did you paint the sunflower painting in your first picture? I love the colors in that too. Just so you know, yours is the first blog I look for every day! When I see the beauty you create, it is hard for me to imagine your career in mineral rights for oil companies. I bet all this is much more fun!

  3. Dear Jacki, You needn't covet. Just come and paint your own. The Sunflower painting is by Susan Gallacher, a very fine artist and special friend.

  5. Hi Jacki, You know I loved being involved in the oil buisness for so many years. It was challenging and rewarding work. But you are correct. Being retired is a lot less stressful.
