Merry Cristmas Tree

Every year, just before Christmas, we plan a picnic with our Friends, Christine and Steven, and cut our Christmas Trees.

From the quiet forest near our house.

Not until we placed our tree in its usual spot did we notice the many missing  branches.

Not even my largest ornaments will cover the holes.

I'm actually happy that the best trees are still in my mountains.

Only next year we'll pick our tree AFTER the Salty Dogs.

Merry Christmas my dear Blogging Friends.

Gina

P. S. By the way, Christine and Steven have a perfectly beautiful Christmas Tree.

  1. Well, t'is the season for merriment and a few sips... but like my former husband would say when I was still preparing for a dinner party, "Please don't give Mary anything to drink before dinner is served; we won't know what we'll get!" which he always said humorously if not honestly!

  4. Dear Ann, My Christmas tree reminds me of a gangly teenager, arms too long and not enough substance. With every Christmas bauble I own and hung on the tree, it doesn't look too bad.
Merry Christmas to you and Peter.

  6. Gina, I have no doubt that your tree is one of the best-dressed trees in all of Utah and that all the other trees are jealous! Merry Christmas to you and Gene from Mark.

  7. Hello AeReAn, Yes, I painted that ornament. It's not difficult. A few dots and a few circles and they're done. Give them a try using acrylic paints.
And yes, I do love cashmere throws. Thank you for the invite. Merry Christmas. Gina.

  8. Dear Mark, It's trying to be best-dressed, but no, not this year. Ann said it best, she likes trees with character. This one doesn't even have character. I can live with imperfection...the many lights on the tree cover a multitute of sins.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. Gina

  9. How lucky you are my dear Gina!
Getting the tree directly from the forest, what could be more authentic!

We have to live this year without 'my Tannenbaum' due to Oskar and others.....But we will certainly miss it and the lighten real bees wax candles, just always magic.

I'm sure that your tree will look wonderful when fully decorated, and - nobody is perfect, not even a Tannenbaum but this provides or gives or adds special personality to us, to....

    Frohe Weihnachten - Merry Christmas!
    Sei herzlichst umarmt,
    karin

P.S - pleased that you like the music, will send you a mail, today - tomorrow - but certainly before Christmas, just catching up with everything.

  12. Dear Karin, I'm sorry that you are not having your Weihnachtsbaum. I know how you love traditions. Put on a pot of Gluewein and it will lift your spirits. Wishing you and everyone in your household the very best for this special holiday season. Gina
