Inside or outside? Win a prize!

Congratulations Mark, you are the winner.
An e-mail is coming your way.

What is inside and what is outside?
If you get it right, you win a wonderful prize.

Note:  The door handles are not a clue, they are affixed on both the  inside and on the outside of the door.

The first visitor who gets it right will win one of my hand painted tiles.

Good Luck, I'll keep you posted.

  1. I'll be a contrarian:
I'll bed you grew the squash inside and since summer is here, that you put the orchid outside to get the fresh air!

    1. Hello Mary, Sometimes it's fun being contrarian. You have made a very interesting observation.

  2. Dear Gina, My guess is that everything to the left of the doorframe (minus the ovelapping orchid blossums and the overlapping dark leaves that are at the very bottom of the photo) is outside. We're looking from the inside, through the left side of a pair of French doors, to the outside.

    1. Congratulations Mark. You had it right from the start. You were first to come up with the correct and detailed answer. One of my hand painted tiles will be yours. Have a look into my Etsy shop and tell mew which tile you would like. Of course, you can also have the Lozenge tile which is pictured above. Thank you for playing along.

    2. Dear Gina, I am excited to be a winner and equally excited and honored to own something so beautiful from your hand! I do believe this lozenge will get incorporated onto an outside entrance to my house. Thanks so much!

  3. Beautiful, whichever side these beauties thrive!
Love the round zucchini squash with the leaf.

    Big hug,
    Merisi
(Thank you for another opportunity to win a prize, but may I ask to please be not considering this time around? I am still so giddy about that wonderful book I won in spring.)

  4. Dear Merisi, no need to disqualify yourself. My round Ronde de Nice Summer squash are my most favorite. When I cut them, the larger came away with the leaf attached.
I have a few more answers to the riddle but will wait to publish them. ox, Gina

  5. Dear Gina - I sense fun and tricks - everything is outside apart from the orchid♥

    1. Dear Rosemary, Technically you are correct. I'm glad that you weren't the first to decipher the trickery because you needed to add a few more details. How interesting that you were able to come up with the right answer with so few words. Thank you for playing along. It is our friend Mark who was the first who with the correct interpretation.

  6. Hi Gina, Ahh, tricky.... My guess is that it is all outside based on the time of year. Regardless of whether I'm right it's a beautiful photograph! Viv

  7. Dear Gina,
who does not like a nice puzzling picture of a master magician???
I think that the orchid is inside and the zucchini just beyond the glass door on the outside.
What a lovely guessing game, Sieglinde

  9. Hi Gina,
Inside: in the foreground the leaves, stem, and flower of blooming white orchid plant.(pretty touch of purple inside the orchid to go with the yellow wall). To the right of the orchid, the rim of a beautiful ceramic pot with a large leaf plant that I can't identify. They are on a table with two round, cute, green squashes, and to the left of those a stone looking urn/pot containing another squash with the stem and leaf shooting upward. The urn/pot looks like it's on top of a tile

Outside: As we pass by the Van Gogh looking yellow wall, there is a large urn/pot on top of a porch balustrade/post/rail/pillar thing, filled with what looks like dried vines (or is that coming from the tree?). I see a large tree with green leaves, lush green grass, and sparkling sunlight on a beautiful, sunny day.

Thanks for the peek into your world.

    1. Wow Darlene! What wonderfully detailed observations. I love the Van Gogh reference. It's interesting how we see perspective. Because you tried so hard to solve this puzzle, I wish I could tell you that you have it right. But no, and I am sorry to have to tell you that. Have a wonderful weekend.

    3. Hello Darlene, By golly you're right. I hadn't noticed. They do look like an invitation to dance is about to happen.
