I've been writing a book

And it's off to the Printer this morning.

Hurrah!

Now back to painting.

A few more ceramics to paint for the
Artist Studio Tour
this weekend.

Have a great week my dear Blogging Friends.

    1. Dear Rosemary, The book is a simple book with lots of photographs of my ceramics and a few words sprinkled within. It is a precursor to a more involved and future book. This is my way of getting my feet wet. I will have a copy of the book in a couple of weeks and I will share.

You tease us - please share some tidbits!

    1. Dear Mary, There will be no book promotion nor will there be signing of books. We will have to think of another way to meet.

My book is a simple little book which may interest a few ceramic artists. It consists of 60 pages, mostly showing some of the ceramics I have painted over the years. I do not go into great detail about the process of painting ceramics, rather it is a book
which might act as an inspirational tool.

  3. Dear Gina,

Your forthcoming book sounds like a great way to share your passion, and I think it's also important to have a good record of the work you've done. My guess is that your ceramics have evolved in style, and I think it's always interesting to see transitions. That's the great thing about being an artist — one keeps growing!

    1. Dear Mark, What you say is so true. Working on this little book has made me realize that every visit to Europe and taking lessons while there has made a difference in the way I paint. Something as unimportant as a simple line will tell the story.

You are working on a great project. You take excellent photographs. Why not tell the story of the making of your Pompeian Room?

    1. Dear Val, How sweet of you to be so supportive. You live in a country where hand painted ceramics have made an important contribution. And here you are giving me such a lovely compliment.

For now, because so few copies will be printed, the book is quite expensive. I will keep you posted.
