The last one.

You say you can't grow oranges in Utah!

 I can.

 In my little greenhouse.

My Meyer orange tree is just a small one but it grew 6 large beautiful and juicy oranges.
And now it is beginning to grow new buds.

My greenhouse is heated by the sun.
It is where my geraniums wait for spring to come.

It snowed a little last night.  Must clean off the glass panes so that the heat of the sun can be trapped inside.

And I can grow kumquats. Do you like kumquats?

I do.
You have to pop the entire fruit into your mouth.
The inside is very tart but the rind is sweet and very aromatic.

This cactus almost didn't make it.

A tiny cactus grew at the base of a larger plant.  One of my white geese came by and pulled it off.  I found the little piece in the grass.
I potted it up. The next day the goose had yanked it out of the pot.  Again I found it.
I replanted it and moved it to a safe place.
That was 2 years ago.

My geraniums are very old...I love every one of them.

Finished a new mural and sent it off to Virginia.

And now I'm going to eat my orange.

Have a wonderful day,

Gina

Wild Canada Geese

They're not going home

Wherever home is this time of year.

Wild Canadian Geese 60 feet from our house.

Every year bringing more.  Family units of 7 and more come in groups.

They feel at ease at our pond placing their heads under their wings for a snooze in the sunshine.

Happy week to you all.

The Weatherman was right

It did snow.

They say that there is more to come.

I can now undecorate my tree.
I had to see it one more time, with snow.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

Is it really going to snow tomorrow?

We have no snow, only bare trees.

Our mountains are usually packed with snow by now.

Someone has pushed all of the snow to the rest of the country.

We are getting worried.

Keeping fingers crossed.

When traveling Europe by car

We solve parking issues by staying in nearby and smaller towns.

Auer/Ora, Italy is such a place.

It's an easy off/on from the main highway,

the E 45 coming from the Brenner Pass.

Ora/Auer is located just south of the Italian town of Bolzano

It is a jumping off point to the Dolomites and the Italian region of the Trento Adige, where both Italian and German is spoken.

Bolzano is a charming town.   It has a bustling, colorful market square, great shopping and a most excellent museum, which houses the famous 5,300 year old Iceman.

The market is open every day, summer and winter.

It is also the largest Christmas Market in Italy.

Small towns are perfect for wandering into side streets and old historic sections.

Their teacher gave them an assignment.

This was the scene they were to paint,
a lesson in perspective.

leisurely walks provide lots of pretty scenery..

The "Amadeus" Hotel is conveniently located in the middle of town. It is an excellent hotel, featuring regional dishes, easy parking and excellent service.

I have the wanderlust again.
Maybe you do too.
