I added an overlay which gave them an antique look.
As in most small towns we have the good with the bad. But what we do have are beautiful old stone buildings built with stones from a nearby quarry. The most stunning of all of our stone buildings is our historic Mormon Church. It is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.
You must have had a very interesting childhood. I have always wanted to visit the Pennsylvania-Dutch country in order to observe their way of life. The tractors lined up remind me of my childhood in Pennsylvania-Dutch country, and of seeing all the Amish buggys in a row. The fake store front is a real hoot — I'd be tempted to erect the fronts up and down the whole street!Mark D. Who knows you might even like THEIR Sauerkraut, it is very different from the usual just out-of-the-jar and heated Sauerkraut.

The sisters have young families so they have decided that they must be there when they come home from school. And Das Cafe is only a mile from our house. We live in a very small town. Until a few years ago we didn't even have a cafe. Two very hardworking and enterprising young sisters had a marvelous idea. Even though they are only open for breakfast and lunch, they have made it a resounding success. They serve a combination of American dishes along with German specialties. I can't believe that so many people love sauerkraut or maybe it's Opa's Fantastic carrot cake that keeps them coming back. I would give anything to have a Brötchen with fresh unsalted butter and marmelade served to me for breakfast. However, it does serve Opa's many contributions to the every day menu. Mr. G must make a very early start to get there so early in the morning on a tractor or may be the journey is not too long, but I bet boys and their tractors have a great time together. I wonder what kind of breakfast was on the table, Bauernfrühstück, yummy, or a soft boiled egg with Brötchen, or Opa's Omelette???
Wonderful photos and a very handsome Mr.G.
Greetings, SieglindeDahling1https://www.blogger.com/profile/01706796518280004968noreply@blogger.com
