French Evening

Soon we will be in Paris

And so will be our friends

Our friend Steven, prepared kir royale for us

And he brought foie gras, prepared two different ways
Did I tell you that our friend Steven is a very fine Chef ?

Gene served roasted chicken, I added my Mother's very special cucumber salad, quiche made with vegetables from our garden and freshly baked bread, just out of the oven.

We served a 25-year-old bottle of French wine.

For dessert we had Mousse au Chocolate made with a secret ingredient.

And we schemed and planned our trip to France

  3. Hello Jo, You're in a great spot at Flathead Lake. I remember those fabulous cherries, they are as big as apricots. Must be the Lake effect. Enjoy your gypsy life.

  8. Dear Lala, We arrive in Paris on the 24th of September but will fly on to Marrakech that afternoon. Sorry, we will miss you. It would have been fun to help you celebrate your birthday with a glass of kir royale.

  9. Dear Theresa, After Marrakech we have rented an apartment in Paris for a week. I am especially looking forward to meeting Frederick Almaviva of Almaviva Studios, a company which is known for their fabulous hand painted tiles and murals. I will also visit several ceramic workshops in Marrakech. I'm fascinated by how different styles of ceramic painting are really very similar.

  12. How wonderful that you will get to while away in Paris!!! I love it! I wish I had the nerve to get on a plane crossing water. I miss out on SO much because of my petty phobias! :-( It is also wonderful that you have a great friend like Steven who knows how to prepare fabulous food and drinks! Enjoy your trip!
