I'm not jealous

Why should I be?

We woke up to fluffy, pure white snow this morning.

So go ahead and show me your beautiful Spring flowers.  I do have an Icelandic Poppy blooming in my greenhouse!

Was it only yesterday that the sun was shining brightly.  By noon today the snow will have melted and the little lambs will again frolic in the sun.

Have a lovely weekend my dear blogging friends

  2. The fluffy white, pure snow IS gorgeous.
    Nothing else like it.

And that Icelandic poppy- any tips for growing? I've got a few seed packs here. Should I start them in pots or plant them directly in the soil. I've never tried them before.

  4. Dear Ann, Icelandic Poppies are BiAnnuals, so they take a little time to grow from seeds. They are easily available in little 6 packs from any garden store. That is how I purchase them. I plant a few into terra cotta pots so that I can move them into the greenhouse before winter. They will start blooming again as the days get longer. Icelandic poppies are very cold hardy and will overwinter and are the first poppies to bloom in early Spring. But they are BiAnnuals and will have to be replaced now and then.

  7. Dear Ann, lucky girl you are. I'm still waiting for the snow to melt(we had more snow yesterday)so that I can seed my peas.

  8. Hi Francesca, Our neighboring farm has sheep. We sometimes help with feeding, birthing and "moving the sheep".

  9. Spring is even sweeter to those who have long, hard winters! I do take it for granted and will try to be more appreciative now. I love the baby lambs...they look so soft and sweet!
