Don't put your paints away yet.

We've all been painting glass Christmas ornaments. Right?

So, while the paint is still wet, why not paint a few wooden hearts.

What's great about painting wooden hearts?  You can paint them on both sides.

So if you don't like one side. Turn it over.

Just saying.

Love ya.

  1. Hi dear Gina - I've nickel silver (spray) painted a green pumpkin - still solid and can't bring myself to chuck it out! It's sitting in the living room with candles and looks pretty and Christmassy!!!!

Love the hearts and your cubby cherubim. I see you've been sticking cloves in oranges - I need to do some of those too! They smell divine don't they.

Too hot hear - in the seventies every day - doesn't feel right for December.
    Love, Mary

    1. Dear Mary, No reason not to enjoy your pumpkin at Christmas time. It sounds beautiful decorated with candles for the table.
If I don't do anything else for Christmas I always have to have pomanders. They fill the air with a lovely Christmas scent.
I can't imagine how it would feel to have temperatures in the seventies. It's in the teens around here and more snow is coming tomorrow...and I am looking forward to it.

  2. Your home must look like a Christmas cornucopia Gina with all of your creative colour, gold and sparkle. I love hearts too but not just at Christmas time - I have a finely woven basketwork one hanging on the front door all year round which I decorate at Christmas time. The grandchildren know I like hearts too so I have plenty of special ones hanging around in nooks and crannies that they have given me.

    1. Dear Rosemary, I have always liked hearts. Hanging on the Christmas tree branches always reminds me of needing to be kind to others. I have collected heart Christmas tree ornaments for a long time. They look so cheerful and happy when combined with other ornaments.
I am actually looking for silver heart votives. Need to take a trip to Santa Fe.

  3. Dear Gina,
you will find all kind of hearts used for decoration in my house to be used throughout the year. Some are made of wood, some are stones found on walks, and some are metal or other materials. None, however, are hand painted.
You are so very creative with or without a paint brush.
    Hugs, Sieglinde

    1. Dear Sieglinde, No wonder we are friends. I found another heart lover. I have never been so lucky as to find stones in heart shapes. I will have to go on a mission, maybe along a deserted beach. The benefit there would be to take a little time and watch the waves roll in.

  4. Great idea to paint some hearts as well while the paints are out. That's one nice thing about making my cards, I can always turn the paper over and glue the ugly side down out of sight. :-)

    1. Hello Judy, See, you have it all figured out. It takes the "having to create a masterpiece" out of the equation. Maybe you will share some of your art with us.
