The not-to-be-forgotten bicycle ride

Grafton Utah, near Zion National Park

It takes about half an hour from the charming little town of Springdale to drive to the ghost town of Grafton, Utah.

Grafton, near Zion National Park, Utah was the filming site for
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

  1. Thanks so much, Gina, for divulging the solution to the mystery. Of course, I saw the film all those years ago, but have to admit not actually remembering too much of it, besides that music.

  2. Hello dear Gina! And yes, it's been a while...as you could see, I'm not often on the blog but will definitely catch up. I must confess Instagram and Facebook über-monopolize me!
I had a big smile on my face when finding your comment the other. Thank you for not forgetting me!

  3. I enjoyed watching that clip and hearing the song we all recall so well.
Beautiful scenery - the American west has it all!

  4. Dear Gina,
it is a long, long time ago that I have seen this movie and the clip of the bicycle ride is such fun. Just recently I have been wondering what ever happened to the lovely Katharine Ross and looked her up. She has had such memorable movie roles for a period of time.

    1. Dear Sieglinde, Since I posted this particular scene a few days ago I can't get it out of my head. I've been humming the tune ever since.

  5. I can imagine the wild west, looking at that photo, and expect the cowboys to ride through the scene at any moment.

  6. And sure enough a pack of cowboys came riding around the corner.
