Ready, Go.
Plaques which have been added to my ever growing collection of Christmas tree ornaments.
Sophie Soprano you know that you will enter a fairy tale world.

Did you go sledding when you were young?
Are you ready for Christmas?

What fun and whimsical paintings Sophie Soprano produces. I love the Honeymooners.
ReplyDeleteSledding was definitely part of my childhood. I have fond memories of going out with my family to a local hill and sliding for hours. I'm almost ready for Christmas - this next week I'm intending tying up all the loose ends - wrapping gifts, and baking one or two more treats.
Wishing you a wonderful week before Christmas, Gina, and a most merry celebration to follow.
Dear Lorrie,
DeleteLike you I spent many a happy hour sledding down a big hill. We had to finish all of our chores first To get to this hill we ice skated the frozen creek...double pleasure, double the fun.
The links didn't work for me but I found her via Google. What a delightful artist, I would love to be able to paint like that - I absolutely love the polar bears and notice she has done more, just the kind of painting I would have on my wall - thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Betty, Thank you for the tip. I fixed it, I hope. Visiting Lynn's studio is a wonderful experience. There is no way that you can leave without a big smile on your face.
DeleteLynn is very talented, as are so many of you in the beautiful Spring City area.
ReplyDeleteI love her whimsical characters on those Christmas plaques - really great decorations.
I feel like I missed a lot when visiting - I've just got to get back dear Gina!
Sadly the new variant is now running rampant across Europe and much of Christmas will be in lockdown for many - my brother is planning to go home to the UK from France this week but I'm now wondering if they'll make it! Hoping you, me, and many others, will get a chance to travel again come 2022.
Love and hugs for the holidays - stay well and warm - meanwhile we've been roasting here and hoping for cooler weather soon. Definitely no sledding in sight yet - and not much as a child as I lived on the south coast of England where snow and ice were rare!
Holiday hugs, Mary
Dear Mary,
DeleteThere are so many conflicting reports coming from many parts of the world. The new variant appears to be not so devastating than the original. But we are at the mercy of officials who decide if we can travel or bot or worse locked up in a foreign country.
Have you checked the price for flying business class to Europe? They are outrageous.
I'm tempted to take the sled down from the wall. We have the perfect, seldom driven street just up from our old house.
Dear Gina - your delightful Christmas plaques are really charming - what a gifted artist your friend Lynn is. I am sure that you must look forward to reacquainting yourself with them when you hang them on your tree each year.
ReplyDeleteI am now going to take a look at the links.
Dear Rosemary,
ReplyDeleteI have put in an order with Lynn. It has to be a beach scene with her usual entourage. All wearing colorful bikinis and carrying blue and white striped umbrellas and bicycling on the promenade and ice cream sellers, etc. etc.
