This Morning, the first Day of Spring

This morning in my Greenhouse

No Bees in sight

This morning, this scene in town

Primroses to plant, just not today

Back to my greenhouse, on the first day of Spring

To seed my Sauerkraut Cabbages and give them an early start

Happy first day of Spring, my dear blogging Friends

Gina

  5. Dear Theresa, I was going to paint that cement wall black (for maximum heat absorption). Blue is almost as good and so much more interesting.

  8. Hi Julie and welcome. I can't imagine our topsy-turvi world. You are getting ready for a cold season and we are just feeling the first warm days of Spring.

  9. *sigh*
    Beautiful dreams of spring.

What glorious color your Greek rhódon rose has!

Interesting your cabbage seed packet: I often see German recipes calling for "Spitzkohl", but have never found it in markets here.

    To a beautiful spring,
    Merisi

  10. Your photos are just incredibly beautiful, Gina. And to think you still have all that snow!

  11. Dear Merisi, I love this Zuckerhut cabbage, it is so sweet and perfect. I never see it for sale, I have to grow it in my garden. It is very easy to grow from seed.

  12. Dear Karen, your comment made me very happy. All my pictures are taken with a little point and shoot camera.
The good thing about the new snow is that it doesn't last very long. Most of it has already melted here in the valley.

  14. Dear Andrea, While driving between Florence and Sienna, many years ago, we spotted a sign for Villa Spoiano. We have stayed there several times since but not lately. Our newest destinations have mostly been towards Umbria.
Thank you for your lovely comment.
