  1. A beautiful Sonntagsstrauss! And I'm so pleased to see the Anemone Japonica together with these wonderful roses! Unfortunately they don't last very long in a vase, from my experience. Any suggestion?

Herzlichen Gruss und wuensche Dir, liebe Gina, einen schoenen Sonntag,

  3. Guten Morgen, Karin,
Here are some tips for keeping roses longer.
Cut them in the morning before the sun hits them and after you have watered them the night before.
Final cut should be under water,
add a few drops of clorox to water,
add a little sugar to water,
prick a couple of holes into the side of the rose, near the head, they sometimes become air locked (those from Florists.)
Cut stems every day, on a long angle,
    change water every day,
    always use very clean vases,
drop a few copper pennies into water,
If you have a brass vase, flowers will last much longer, that is how Cleopatra had them delivered to her by boat.
Drop a couple of bayer aspirin into water, if nothing else, it will make your headache go away after you have tried all of the above.
Often, I do none of the above and just enjoy them for a day or two.
    Happy Flower gathering.
