Never have enough bowls

My dishwasher is always full of bowls.

It's the one item in my kitchen I never have enough of.

I paint them fancy and I paint them plain.

I paint the inside.

And I paint the outside.

I paint them bold.

And I paint them colorful.

I paint them sweet and simple.

Even just in blue and white.

I can paint them so you can show off your family crest.

Or we can design one for you.

Most often I paint bowls just for the fun of it.
No matter how many bowls I paint I end up with only rejects in my house.

Have a wonderful week my dear
Blogging Friends.

  5. Oh my, I would take one of your rejects in a heartbeat, and I would love to fill my dishwasher with such glorious beauty. I have plain and simple large green square plates and no colour at all. The colours for me are found in the fun mugs that I choose...

  7. Dear Mark, The first picture shows my rejects. They're good enough for me and they remind me of ideas I tried and even though they didn't turn out quite right...they may the next time around.

  9. Dear Mary, I sold all of my bowls at the last sale. Soon, I'll be posting new designs on Etsy. They're very affordable and they can even be personalized. Dark green is a great color to begin your collection. And colorful mugs are always fun.

  10. Dear Val, Now I know that you paint ceramics. I have seen them and they are beautiful. Painting bowls is so easy, some of them only take about 10 minutes to paint. I should check into the cost of shipping to Portugal. There may be a way... ox, Gina

  12. Hi LindyLou, Have you been collecting Italian ceramics? Would love to see them. I remember seeing beautiful antique ceramics at the Arezzo flea market.

  15. Do you work on greenware with underglazes? The crisp lines that you achieve give me that impression. So much inspiration here. I need to get busy with my slab roller and fire up my kiln. It's been a long time. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

  17. Hi Cherry Kay, Welcome and thank you for becoming my newest Follower. To answer your question, I paint on once fired bisqueware. And yes I paint with underglazes, a mixture I prepare with Italian powder pigments that I bring back from Italy every year.

  20. Dear Judy, Because they are hand painted that is why they have the look of being special. So few things are available that are hand made. They are not difficult to paint. Thank you for your visit.

  22. You have a talent that I admire with every fiber of my being! I'm thinking I would love to have a platter or something like that with my husband's family crest and that of my family. Hmmmmm....I need to think about this. That would look so cool in our library! I will inbox you. I love these bowls. They're each so unique. My favorite of those pictured is the one with what looks like Marie Antoinette on it!

  23. Dear Alycia, Yes, your family crests on plates in your library would look pretty special. The Marie Antoinette shallow bowl is also one of my favorites. It was sold to a fancy shop in one of our famous tourist towns.
