Did you know?

That you can keep your old film camera lenses?

And fit them onto a new Digital camera body?

If you have taken photographs for a while,
you probably have, like me, a few good lenses lying around.

You can use your old lenses which you used with your film camera, and attach them to your new digital camera body.

Didn't even need an adapter.

It's a good idea to purchase the same brand of camera as the lens.

Have a wonderful remainder of the week.

My Nephew Chandler

My nephew Chandler,
the Tennis Star.

Photographed by his friend Lindsey Holmes

Giving comfort to a little girl in India.

Chandler went to India to teach.
He did more than that.

Not just one arm, but two arms.

That's how it's done

A new Platter

For Heritage Day Celebrations Sale this weekend.

And a new Tile or two for sale, as well.

The pencil marks will burn off in the kiln.

I see a mistake.  Do You?

Almost finished.

Ready to glaze and fire to 1820 degrees Fahrenheit. Firing and cooling will take 24 hours.

An artist friend came by and painted my horse trough fountain...the painting is not finished...I used it for the background anyway.

But my Platter is finished.

Have a wonderful remainder of the week.

Four Million Dollars will get you 400 Acres.

Hidden in between two Mountain Ranges.

400 acres of pristine land.

It has everything.  Mountains, gently rolling hills, plenty of water, pristine air and the bluest of skies.

So, what are you going to do with it?

Let a herd of wild Mustangs roam the land?

How about a large herd of Black Angus.  Buffaloes would be happy here. The property is fenced.

There is plenty of room for an 18-hole golf course.
The topography is perfect.  Little soil has to be moved.

The owner, the man in red, thinks this knoll would be the perfect location for the clubhouse.

Mother Nature has taken care of the landscaping.
There is no industry to pollute the air.

Or maybe, and best of all, you may want to keep it for yourself.

Let me know if you want to spend a few dollars,
the man who owns these 400 beautiful acres is my friend.

Happy dreaming!

Did we dodge the bullet?

Four nights of below freezing.

Looks like they all survived, apples, pears, cherries, plums, peaches and apricots.

The kitchen garden has been planted with leeks, cabbages and onions.
Vegetable seeds are ready to go in.
carrots, beets, collards, Swiss chard, basil, coriander,
corn sald/mache, gourmet blend lettuce, romaine,  spinach, beans,
fennel, cavolo laciniato, arugula, curly kale, turnips, eggplants and artichokes.

By August it will have provided many meals for us, our friends and even our chickens.

There will be flower gardens.

There will be tomatoes ripening in the sun.

 And fruit for winter months.

Squash and Zucchini for winter baking.

But only if the water holds out. The Old timers say that if Horseshoe Mountain still has snow caps by the 24th of July, we will have enough water.

But just in case, our spring flows at 39 gallons per minute.
Plenty of water for cattle and gardens.

Wishing you a Happy Spring day.

Thank you for stopping by.
You have made my day!
