My life is full of Rows.

Have you noticed?

Life is full of Rows.

Our newly cut Alfalfa field is full of Rows.

My Flower pots are standing in a Row.

My daisies growing in a Row.

My cabbages in a Row.

My hand painted Plates in Rows.

Shading our driveway, Summit Ash in a Row.

Enclosing one of our pastures, cedar posts in a Row.

Our house has windows in a Row.

And balustrades in Rows.

It all began with a lane of trees in a Row.

Wishing you a very special weekend.

Thank you for stopping by.

I always appreciate your visits.

  1. Dear Gina,
Rows create patterns. Patterns form a design. Design constructs a plan. A plan details an intention. Intentions can lead to achievement. Achievement is to realize by effort, courage or skill a dream.
Your dream of a home, so artistically presented, in imaginative, colorful and life affirming rows is a pleasure to see. I LOVE this post.
    Warmest greetings, Sieglinde

  2. Gina, I guess that the horizon sets the theme, even though we do know that the earth is not flat. Calendars reinforce the grid for us, with rows and rows of weeks filled with seven days nicely lined up. Of course, traditional clocks and watches take the circular approach. Digital organization is something else altogether.

As always, your photographs are fabulous. Happy weekend. xo

  4. Dear Gina - gorgeous photos - I love the row of trees down your driveway - are they Poplar Trees? I recall the nursery rhyme - Mary, Mary, quite contrary and her pretty maids all in a row.

    1. Dear Rosemary, They are Theves Poplars, a newer variety, purported to have a longer life span. Mr G planted all one hundred of them in 2 days. That was 20 years ago.
Thank you for stopping by. I am so pleased that you like my photos. As you know I have always admired your beautiful photography.

    1. Dear Val, I love it when you go on your little sojourns. That way we get another glimpse into another corner of your beautiful country, Portugal.
I try not to organize my life into too many rows. It's a good thing to let go and sit back and enjoy the labor of your hard work. I know that you work very hard on your Quinta. There is always so much to do and you do it beautifully.

  6. With all your rows, I think we are kindred spirits because I like to see order in my life. I have a dear friend who always chides me because everything in my house is lines and angles.

  7. Dear Mark, Now that I'm getting a little older I have actually done away with some of my Germanic tendencies. I have learned how to relax a little but those rows all around me keep reminding me to not to drift too far.
I'm not surprised that your life is governed by lines and angels, after all the Swiss know how to do it best.
