  1. Dear Gina,
We already watched a World Cup Soccer Game from Brazil and it was fun.It is too hot for a picnic here but some delicious piece of meat will end up on the grill tonight. We wish you and Gene a happy Independence Day and fun at the picnic.
    Warmest greetings, Sieglinde

    1. Dear Sieglinde, The days couldn't be more perfect right now. Now is the time I want it to slow down. Even our cherries are ripening and the robins are going to make short work out of them. If I want a cherry pie, just one please, I will have to fight the birds for them.
Wishing you and yours a very relaxing July 4th weekend. Thank you for your visit and sweet comment. ox, Gina

  2. Ahh Gina, I woke early today, had a leisurely start to my day, and then went to work. It still strikes me as very odd that Independence Day is now a retailing reason for joy. I'll also be working Saturday and Sunday. Ahh, not all 24 hours, so I've still had the opportunity to visit you right here, and to wish you and yours a very Happy Fourth of July.

    1. Dear Frances, That is the best of the thing, you have to work while others play. Hopefully you will have a little time this weekend to celebrate this special holiday.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I always enjoy hearing from you. ox, Gina

  3. Dear Gina,

I hope it's not too late to wish you a happy 4th! My brother and I celebrated with pecan-crusted chicken and the best tomato bisque at a favorite restaurant. For about 20 years we've made it a habit to have a family dinner every Friday night. It's sort of the anchor to my week, and the 4th just happened to fit into that tradition.

  4. Dear Mark,Thank you for your good wishes. I like what you said in your comment, "the anchor to my week". So important to have that assurance. By the way, what does your brother think of your Pompeian Room?
