Are you staying warm?

They're warm.

They're wearing expensive fur coats.

I'm leaving mine in the closet.
We are heading South of the Border, and soon.

Have a great weekend my dear friends.

  1. Dear Gina,

Yes, I'm staying warm here in Florida. I'll be having lunch at an outdoor café in several hours, and the high for the day in St. Petersburg will be 80 degrees!

    1. Dear Mark, Oh you just had to rub it in. 80 degrees, sitting outside, palm trees swaying...what a life!

  2. I love the photo of you Gina - you look as if you could be heading down Mexico way, but my geography is likely way off beam. Wherever you are going have a glorious time, and return refreshed.

    1. Dear Rosemary, This time of year Mexico is very enticing. And so it is a cruise to the Sea of Cortez. This will be a new experience for us to see if we like cruising on one of these enormous ships.

  5. Gina, I know you'll enjoy that January warmth. Today, we've been having light snow, then rain, then snow, repeat until chilled.

Well, it is January in New York. We expect this sort of recipe.

    1. Dear Frances, You are right, it is January after all and we should not complain about the cold. The warm sun and cool ocean breezes will feel great.

  6. Oh yes, have a fabulous time in Cabo San Lucas - have not been there but know it's lovely.
Meanwhile, let those cozy huddling sheep keep their sheepskin coats - although I'd love one, just like wearing real fur I would never expect them to share! Warm here today - 72F high - won't last though which is OK with me, I love chilly weather and, as mentioned previously, am ready for some snow now please!

    Safe travels my dear.
    Bon Voyage.
    Love, Mary

    1. Dear Mary, You are amazing! You write a post almost every day. How do you do it?
72 degrees F would be lovely, of course, then, all of our snow would melt all at once and leave us all under water. Instead we will be heading a little further south so we can have a little Spring Break.

  7. Dear Gina,
it will be so interesting to hear how you liked vacationing on a big cruise ship. Our son went north along the Pacific Coast on a Cruise last year.He enjoyed it so much that he is trying to convince us to do the same. I wonder what fascinating sea creatures you will find in the Sea of Cortez.
    Warm greetings, Sieglinde

    1. Dear Sieglinde, Many years ago we did a Mediterranean cruise on a small ship. It was fabulous, especially the visit to Ephesus, along the southern Turkish Coast. I never thought that we would be taking one of these enormous ships...we will see. Maybe this will be the beginning of a brand new adventure and an adventure we will want to repeat. I will report back.

    1. Dear Mary, Just getting away from the cold temperatures will be a relief. Why is winter always so long and the rest of the year just flies away in a flash.

  9. Enjoy your days in the warmth and sun of the southern climes. We'd like a little cooler weather there, it has heated up considerably the past couple of days . . . but that is winter in Southern California. Wishing you a very Happy New Year and I look forward to many visits here on your beautiful blog, a real feast for the eyes.
