  1. Dear Gina,
your Pansies are charming indeed and I wonder where you find such beauties. Do you grow them from seeds as you do so many of your colorful and unique treasures? Your photos are outstanding and vibrant and I see blue skies in the background. Here it is getting already too
    hot for Pansies.
    Wishing you happy gardening, Sieglinde

    1. Dear Sieglinde, There is a special grower, about 50 miles from here, who grows the most beautiful Pansy varieties every year. I have not tried growing Pansies from seed. They have to be started early, like in November. Then I have to take care of them throughout the cold winter months. I know that you planted pansies very early...your climate is much more moderate than ours. Pansies may wilt as it gets warmer, but while they are blooming, they are definitely worth while.

One thing we have in San Pete County, always the bluest of skies.

    1. Dear Rosemary, Pansies do make me happy. They are the one colorful flower I can grow early in the year without having to move them inside every night. There will be more frosty nights and then we will head straight into high desert temperatures. So many challenges to keep the garden going.
Your photos of your recent trip to India have been exceptional. You have shown us scenes and details that have been an eye opener.

  12. Pansies and violas have always been my absolute favorite flowers. Pansies amaze me with their variance in color and design and seem a little "frilly and fussy" but thrive well in cold, snowy weather. Yours are very beautiful.

    1. Dear Theresa, I may complain about our unpredictable weather but when it comes to cold loving flowers such as tulips, Daffodils and Pansies, they really make a big show early in the year. I also love Pansies and can't imagine a Spring without them.
