ReplyDeleteI think you have:-Roses; polyanthus ( primrose ); Nasturtium; petunia; poppy; stoksia; Lady's mantle; Calliandra; nemisia; astrantia; verbana; calendula; Cyclamen; centura montana; Honeysuckle( or corydalis ) and some parsley.
You don't have my favourite carnations.

Dear Frances, I must admit that some of my flowers are a little unusual. However, they grow easily in most gardens. I will, of course, reveal their names...maybe tomorrow because it's sunday. In the meantime I better head outside and get busy weeding my flower and vegetable patch.

ReplyDeleteDear Rosemary, I inadvertently posted your answer which I shouldn't have because you had almost all of the flowers named. I may have to declare you the winner if no one else comes close. You only need to identify 2 more flowers. Of course I knew that you would be close.

I am certain the mix of fragrances make the air of your home, brim full of the goodness of these beauties... DeleteI can only name eight right now. Rose, kalanchoe, astrantia, daylily, marigold, cornflower, ladys mantle, pansy, but there are others that I see that I cannot remember the names of! I am sorry to be so late visiting, we had a minor domestic drama yesterday - nothing serious in the end, all ok - but I didn't get a change to do any blogging. Not only could I not in a million years name all those flowers, but some I have never even seen before. Sure would love to have a bouquet that lovely on my entry table, however. Did they all come from your garden?

Hello Gina, I've spent an unusually long time examining your beautiful bouquet. It's like a puzzle to try and name all the flowers. I can't possibly name them all, but here's what I see: Rose, Hellebore, Lady's Mantle, Cornflower (centaurea), Magnolia, Primrose, Alstroemeria, Painted Tongue, Day Lily, Lotus, Yellow Sweet Clover, Greek Valerian, Calendula.....some of these are wild guesses. I hope you do identify each of these flowers for us - I'm very curious about some of them.
