A feast for New Year's Eve

 Will Lobster Thermidor do?

Recipe follows.

They arrived from Maine
(with instructions)

It is cold outside

But my kitchen is warm and the cooktop is busy.

Two large Main Lobsters.  More than enough for two.

Wishing you a New Year of Health and Happiness.

Gina

Recipe

Drop  lobster into boiling, salted  water
add a few lemon slices. Cook for 5 minutes
reduce to simmer and cook for another 15 minutes
Remove lobster meat.

In frying pan stir 2tsp of flour into 2 tsp butter
add lobster meat.
add 1/4 cup of heavy cream and 1/4 cup of stock
Simmer for 10 minutes.  Season to taste.
Remove Lobster from Pan, set aside.

  1. Fabulous - lucky you - wish I could pop over and join you - I have had enough turkey, ham, pork pie etc to last me for a long time. I too am feeling like some fish or something vegetarian.

  3. Will it do, dear Gina? How about I'll be right over? This is my kind of a meal!
Your kitchen always looks so cozy but never more so than when it is cold outside and the white landscape shows
against your colorful interior. Very lovely gallery of pictures.
To you and Mr. G. a very Happy New Year.
    Warmest hugs, Sieglinde
