It's not like me

Seldom do I want to go back to places I have been,
no matter how interesting or how beautiful.

It's because I always want to know what is just around the corner.

But there is a very special place, hidden in a valley, in the Tuscan countryside, that keeps calling us from year to year.

It's Relais Sant Elena in Bibbona, Italy.

Only a few miles south of Livorno and only a few minutes from the Tyrrhinian Sea.

This beautiful and bountiful breakfast is served every single morning.

Not just one table but several, laden with delicacies.

Everything is super fresh and wholesome.

I called.  Our suite is available.

See you there.

Until then, wishing you a great weekend,

Gina

  1. There are very few places that I return to again and again Gina, but there are some. I understand just where you are coming from, if somewhere makes you happy then why not?

    1. Dear Rosemary,
I was trying to come up with a new plan but when it came right down to it, it had to be, at least a few days,a return visit to Sant'Elena.

    1. Dear Sieglinde,
There is so much to like about Relais Sant;Elena. It's the perfect place. It's beautiful, the food is sensational, the staff is the best we have experienced and Bibbona is surrounded by the most beautiful and historic Etruscan villages.

    1. Hello Lorrie,
We were trying to plan a different trip. It didn't gel until we included our favorite place. We have visited Europe and Africa more than forty times, yet Sant'Elena always calls.

    1. Dear Sally,
How nice of you to come for a visit and leave a comment. You know all about serving breakfast to guests who come to your beautiful Bed and Breakfast. Your fame is spreading, your baked breads and cookies have become famous.

  5. What a beautiful place, peaceful, serene and that the morning breakfast with such lovely selections, how would you ever chose. I was just telling my neighbor who travels often with her husby abroad the one place that I would love to go is the Tuscan region of Italy...if I could... She happened to mention that they have friends who now live there and they run a very lovely B&B and one of them is also the chef. She said that maybe she and I could go...my ears are such a big problem and even with those little surgeries where they put in the plugs did not stop the pain. For now, I shall continue to enjoy for now through your eyes~

    1. Dear Mary,

I hope that one day you get to visit Tuscany. It is such an extraordinarily beautiful place. The St. Elena is extra special. And yes, it is impossible to decide what to choose for breakfast.

As medical science keeps coming up with more and more solutions, maybe you will, one day, be able to travel. It would be so nice if you and your neighbor could plan a trip together.
