Happy Valentine's Day

 

It's Valentine's Day



There will be a long walk with friends and dogs and there will be a fire in the fireplace and Biscotti vin Santo.

    Wish we were there too - love biscotti and vin Santo! We'll have carrot cake later (my gift to Bob today) and sip a glass, or two, of perhaps B&B, or Drambuie.

      Carrot Cake is a favorite. Das Cafe bakes a sensational Carrot Cake. Maybe next year. Something is on it's way to, also snail mail.

    So glad you will be with friends and canine companions today. The biscotti and wine sound like a real treat. We will enjoy a dinner of polenta and shrimp, with roasted asparagus, followed by some baking that I did for dessert. A low-key day.

      Dear Lorrie,
      I have not made Polenta and I love it so. After returning from Italy last time I purchased Polenta flour and there it sits. I love the way you roast your vegetables. No doubt they retain their goodness while roasting instead of boiling.
