Mon Bouquet du Jour

Mein Sonntag Strauss
for you.

We have a bumper crop of Lilacs this year.

One of my favorite varieties, "Sensation".

Filling our house with their intoxicating perfume.

The last few tulips found a perfect home.

A perfect Sunday is my wish for you. Thank you for your visit.

    1. Hello Lavender Cottage. Some of our lilacs are also fading. We live at 6,000 feet. Sometimes we don't see them bloom at all because of late frosts. But this year I can celebrate their beauty. Thank you for your visit. Gina

  6. Beautiful photographs and one of my very favorite Spring flowers. I was a floral designer and I did a wedding on Cape Cod quite a few years back with all hand-picked Lilacs and Pink tulips. I can remember
walking into the dining room where the reception was being held and it had this wonderful, amazing fragrance...they make beautiful arrangements for any occasion.

  11. Dear Gina,
after a long cold season your are rewarded with magnificent colors and perfumes. Lilacs, along with Hydrangeas, were always a part of my childhood garden, but they do not grow well in Texas.I love the colors of your glorious bouquets and just wish there could be a button in your post to release the scent
    too, Sieglinde

  12. Dear Sieglinde, But you can grow in Texas what I can't grow here. I would love to have a big field of your Texas Blubells. I have tried but to no avail. ox, Gina
