Welcome Spring

   It must be Spring.

Welcome.

It's about time.

Apple Blossoms are getting ready.

Last of the Snowdrops nodding their heads.

Tulips are about to show their faces.

Pansies follow me everywhere.

The star for now is the Daffodil.

Happy Spring to you my dear Friends.

Gina

    1. Dear Mark, Yes, our water fowl is very busy. This is the time of year when you get to know their different personalities. Even our chickens have upped their egg production. That is always a sure sign of Spring.

  2. Soooooooo beautiful! Your gardens produce such wondrous flowers and your photos are awesome dear Gina! Love the modern touch of the square heavy glass vase for the daffodils in the second pic - always nice to see stems when they are sleek and uniform under water. The snowdrops are so pretty, the tulips gorgeous - everything is pretty!!

How I wish I could stop over and buy some of your fresh eggs - but then I'd never want to leave with so much amazing scenery surrounding me in every direction!

Happy springtime to you both - know it will be a busy time for you so take care.
    Love - Mary

    1. Dear Mary, This is my favorite time of year. So many plans for the coming growing year. There will be disappointments and then there will be lots of successes and also many rewards. Of course, you know all about that...your garden is always so well cared for, which of course, means lots of work for you. I am especially envious of your yearly fig crop.

I like using clear glass block vases. Clear glass always makes flowers last a little longer, I think. Thank you for stopping by and thank you also for your sweet compliments.

  3. Wow, that's an amazing daffodil garden in the first photo! I hope mine looks just as lovely in years to come. All of your bouquets are gorgeous and I'd say that pansies follow me every where too! I've loved them all my life. Happy Sunday.

    1. Dear Stacy,
My Daffodils grow in a large and open area surrounded by large expanses of grass. I planted hundreds of them about 15 years ago because I knew that they would be safe from deer. Animals don't like them (unlike tulips) so they are free to multiply every year. Yours will do as well as long as you remember to let the foliage "age" clear into July. That is why it's a good idea not to plant Daffodils in flower beds...they just don't look right with their brown and yellow leaves.
Aren't pansies the sweetest little flowers with their pretty faces. I am so glad that you also like them. Happy week ahead.

    1. Dear Rosemary, Flowers are such easy subjects as you can well attest to. I never tire of seeing your beautiful garden and all of its lovely treasures.
Did cutting back your boxwood hedges help? I hope so.

    1. Dear Theresa, Spring flowers are always the most beautiful...or is it because the long winter makes it so.

  6. Dear Gina,
When you show us your field of Daffodils it must be spring..................but as I write this the temperature here has already reached 81 F.
My Pansies do not like it that hot but I do hope to have them a little longer as I enjoy them as much as you do. The colors of yours are just
wonderful and I love the shot of your Snowdrops. I wish you a most pleasant springtime without any damaging frost, Sieglinde

    1. Dear Sieglinde, We still have freezing temperatures during the night. It doesn't look like the apricots have survived. But then there are always the spring flowers that love the cold. Pansies especially...they now come in so many different and unusual color combinations.

  8. Dear Georgianna, Welcome home. I have so enjoyed reading and admiring your recent post about Paris. Thank you for including the "Paris Perfect" rental link.
When in Paris it is so much nicer if one can stay in a Parisian Apartment. Hotels are great for shorter stays.
If we are in Paris for a week we always rent from "Frenchy Rentals". They have several apartments in the Montmatre, 18th Arrondissement. The apartments are lovely and half the price of most other rentals.
