If only

you could taste Karen's chocolates!

My friend Karen makes the finest, yes the very best Chocolates.
I know.  I am a chocolate Aficionado.  I have tasted the best from every corner of the world.

Even these chocolate leaves are made with re-tempered Belgian Chocolate.

Bavarian Mint, Serrano Pepper with Lime Zest, Tagine,
German Chocolate Truffle, Raspberry Likör, Grapefruit, Almond and Cheesecake are only a few names which belong to these superior and most delicious chocolates.

Karen tells me that "she looses herself making chocolates and loves doing it".

I know that she will make some for you.  All you have to do is ask.

Wishing you and yours a most wonderful Easter Celebration.

    1. Dear Martina, Happy Easter Sunday to you and your family. Karen's chocolates are so delicious that I have to ask Mr G to hide them from me. I'm allowed to have two a day until they are gone.

    1. Dear Mary, I need to ask Karen if she will ship her chocolates. So far she has only taken local orders. She lives in the big city and visits her country house on some weekends.

    1. Hello OJ, How sad your friends can't cook. Why don't you start something new and hire a chef and all of you can meet once a week for a cooking lesson.
Thank you for your visit. Happy Easter. Gina

  4. These must be amazing chocolates - you, like me, have tried a lot of different ones in our worldly travels I'm certain Gina, and we know great ones! I refuse to eat cheap chocolate - why use up valuable calories eating lousy chocolate!
Those leaves are gorgeous, perfect with your beautiful painted eggs.

Does Karen do mail order by chance?
Easter blessings my dear friend - may this day be a special one.
    Hugs - Mary

    1. Dear Mary,
So true, why not eat only the very Best. I have a charming and eccentric friend who has sent chocolates to me overnight from Belgium. Chocolates that were made with fresh cream only the day before. They were delicious but Karen's are better.
I will ask about the nail order possibility.
The chocolate leaves look wonderful when tucked between ice cream dollops.
Happy Easter to you and your family. ox, Gina

  5. oh, I do love chocolate! I am sure these are/were (LOL) wonderful. I love the leaves. What is the bowl sitting on that has the greek key design? It looks textural, as if painted cloth.

    1. Dear Theresa, Still have a box of chocolates left but they are hidden from me. Mr G sees to that.
The table is one of 3. All of the surfaces are rough and need to be refinished. Before I purchased the tables they were used in a painting workshop as color palates, hence the rough surface.

  6. Dear Gina,
are these not the most wonderful boxes of chocolates with names like Almond Cheesecake or Bavarian Mint??? If I had such a box in my hands Daahling would surely have to intervene just like Gene does. I can not resist Chocolates or Ice Cream nor so many other things......... But all fine culinary treats in moderation are but one thing that make life worth living .Lucky and so very special YOU.
    Hugs, Sieglinde

    1. Dear Sieglinde, There is a reason why we are friends... t's the love for chocolates and ice cream. It makes me happy to know that you also have to have chocolates hidden from you. It's a wonder that I don't buy chocolates when I go grocery shopping. I mean, who would know. Of course if Karen's chocolates were being offered I could never pass them up.

  7. Dear Gina,

The titles of those chocolates alone make me salivate — I don't even need to see the photographs! Unfortunately, I have no self-control when it comes to chocolate, so I never buy any for myself. Your rabbit egg holder is charming.

    1. Dear Mark, Have you heard of the saying "Life is too short, eat desert first"? Also, I know that you know that a piece of chocolate a day is very good for you. When chocolate is this good one should not deprive oneself.
Karen does not make chocolates after Easter because the temperatures have to be just right. So, no worries. You can't even be tempted until next Fall.
