The Ginkgo leaf

What does a Ginkgo Tree, A May Bug and a Sago Palm have in common?

They all appear in today's post written by my charming friend  Rosemary
from England,

I don't have a Ginkgo tree (anymore).

But that doesn't stop me from painting them onto dinner plates.

And my bugs are happily ensconced on top of painted leaves.

Have a great week dear friends,

Gina

    1. Dear Rosemary, You wrote another beautiful blog post. Your photography is outstanding. Each time you introduce us to new ideas. Always being careful to give us the correct information. Not with lengthy sentences but a few and succinct words.
By the way, your mushroom recipe has become a hit around here. Thank you for sharing it with us.

  7. Gina, your gingko plates are completely charming! The gingko tree just outside my front window is now in its full winter spiky look. It will be a while before I'll spy the first glimmer of the 2017 green leaves.

    Rosemary's post was fascinating!

    1. Dear Frances, Have you painted the Ginkgo leaf on some of your cards? Since you have a good example (come Spring) growing right out of your window it would be so easy to paint them.

    2. Gina, I've never used a gingko motif on a card, but have filled many sketchbook pages with...sketches. xo

    3. Dear Frances, Now is the time to get out those sketches and translate them into cards, gift tags, etc. Maybe even gold leaf a leaf and send it along with a message.

  9. The plates are really beautiful Gina - I can imagine them glowing in candlelight, or under the crystals of a chandelier, on a beautiful dining table. Lucky the lady who has the ginkgo leaves - and I'm certain the leaves with tiny bugs will make a beautiful setting too.
    Hugs - Mary
