Will it ever look like this again?
Asters blooming from seeds collected in Italy many years ago.
New soil did wonders.
And then I had the soil removed because a nasty little worm had invaded my flower beds.
The good soil was replaced and I have struggled for two years to improve the top soil that was delivered.
Come Spring, I will begin again.

Yes, spring brings work for we gardeners doesn't it dear Gina. Our efforts pay off usually, but Mother Nature can be cruel. Last winter the horrific ice storm here destroyed many of our shrubs and trees. So far this winter no bad weather - fingers crossed we are not hit hard again.

DeleteIt is always a challenge. I always hope for the best but Mother Nature teaches us a few lessons now and then. Your Apple Blossom Amaryllis are sensational. They are keepers.
I would have never thought of mixing asters with nasturtiums, and yet they look Wonderful together- BRAVO and may your hopes spring eternal for your flower beds once again!

DeleteThank you for visiting. Nasturtiums are so easy to grow and come in so many unusual colors. I love the way they fill awkward spaces. Maybe you will give them a try.
