Dear Theresa, As much as I like the minimalist approach to decorating it just isn't for me. I love to be surrounded with things I have acquired over the many years of travel. I can relive my first purchase at the Firenze flea market, for instance. BTW, your post on surface ornament is much appreciated. So much to glean from work done so many years ago. Thanks for posting it.
Ally, thank you for leaving a comment. Because I posted a collage, it looks a bit crowded. In reality, the room is quite large so there are lots of open spaces in between. I love objects and things that I have owned for many years. They are like old friends.
Dear Georgianna, Can't wait for your next post. Flowers are among my most favorite things and your photographs, of flowers, are superb. I used two different flower chintzes on my chairs and sofa. One lavender, the other yellow. Both fabrics were hand block printed in France. That was 16 years ago. I love them as much today as I did then.
Hi Maryam, thanks for stopping by. Coming over, yes, you are invited. Did you know that we have reservations to come and stay with you at your fabulous Peacock Pavilions. See you in September.
