If you can find for me a few yards of this particular fabric you will be rewarded with a very special prize.
The fabric is hand printed in France. It is not made anymore. My upholsterer found 100 yards of this fabric but it is in a different COLORWAY. The name of the fabric is "Le Rosier" , M.I.E. France. The small sample I have comes from Cowtan & Tout.
These are my chairs and ottoman. Because we have such large windows one of the chairs needs to be repaired. It has received sun damage on one arm. The sun exposure problem has now been resolved with our new pergola.
Your help would be so appreciated.

The vines, are being trained to add extra shade. Additional sun shades will be installed.
This is only one choice of many, of my large hand painted ceramics, from which you will be able to pick your prize if you can find a source for the above pictured fabric.
Your help would be so appreciated.

Oh, Gina, this fabric is heavenly. I can see why you want to repair the chair in the same design. I wish I could help you, not for the reward but because of your lovely home. Good luck and thank you for visiting! xo – g
ReplyDeleteHi Gina,
ReplyDeleteHow much do you need? I found 3.5 yards of this at fabric guru at : http://www.fabricguru.com/cart/index.php?target=products&product_id=185562&page=24.
Is it the same? I will keep looking, too.
I hope this helps :)
~Barbara
Hi Barbara, you are the super sleuth! I purchased the fabric. Don't know if it is the correct colorway but I purchased all 3.5 yards anyway, for just under $40. The fabric initially cost $244 a yard. If it is the same fabric, and I believe it is, then I have saved more than $800.
ReplyDeleteLet me know what type of ceramic piece you are interested in and I will send you a few pictures from which you can choose.
Dear Georgianna, You are so sweet to want to help. Looks like Barbara has found a piece for me. I didn't have much hope in finding the fabric. How wonderful it is to have such great blogging friends.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, I didn't want to change the fabrics. I love them the way they are; I feel happy every time I walk into the room.
Have a lovely weekend.
Barbara is wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteGina, i totally understand that this fabric makes you happy. it's colorful and so summery..Yes stick to it ! I'm glad you found it...
Have a great week end!
:-)
Oh wow!!! I am thrilled I was able to help you find your fabric :) I only hope it is the correct dye lot!! And I can't believe that I will be the recipient of one of your beautiful ceramic pieces!!! This keeps getting better and better :) I think that, if possible, I would be interested in a plate or platter so that I can use it when I entertain! I can't wait :) Thanks also for your help with my tiles....please check my blog for my responses to your questions :)
ReplyDeleteAgain, Thank You!!
~Barbara
Google and Girl power!!!! Glad you found some of the fabric....
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, well, thanks to you, the fabric is on its way. I am anxious to see if it is the correct colorway. If it is a different dye lot that would not matter. Right now, I have a small piece "curing" in the sun.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, why don't you have a look in my Etsy Shop and see which, if any, of the platters or plates you would like to have. I can also paint a platter to order. You tell me what appeals to you and I will paint it for you.
Barbara, I want to thank you again for the time you have spent in researching this fabric. I tried to find it but did not have any luck.
Hi Theresa, Hasn't the world changed? All because of the internet and ordinary people corresponding and exchanging ideas.
ReplyDelete"Google and Girl Power" well said.
Have a great weekend.
Hi Gina, You are very generous in your gift....and all your pieces are beautiful that I cannot choose which one I like the best. Please choose for me and I'm sure whichever one you pick, I will absolutely love!!! Thank you again!! And please let me know when the fabric arrives and how it matches :)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what you ended up doing with your pergola, I'm glad you went for vines, there's nothing prettier than a pergola covered in vines! Gorgeous floral fabric, glad you found more!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, I will let you know as soon as the material arrives. In the meantime, I have chosen a plate for you. Because you are an expert on Italian ceramics I have decided to send you a hand thrown (not pressed) platter, hand painted in the "antique style". Should I send you a picture first?
ReplyDeleteHi Francesca, We have decided to utilize both the old vines we planted more than 10 years ago and outdoor fabric for additional sun protection. We are still getting "acquainted" with our new pergola and adjusting as we see the need.
ReplyDeleteGreat post you wrote on Portuguese tiles. Can't wait to see what new ideas you are bringing home.
Hi Gina - that sounds marvelous....and no picture needed...I want to be surprised :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again. I can't wait!
Your chair and ottoman are to die for....no wonder you wanted to keep the fabric. Glad you found it.
ReplyDeleteJo
Don't forget to show us what you do with the fabric!
ReplyDeleteHello Jo, Some people like to change things around. I'm not one of those. The other pieces are upholstered in a lavender print, also hand blocked in France. I love the combination and don't want to even think abut having to start all over again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit.
Hi Ann, Actually, not much to show and tell. I'm just trying to repair a little damage on one of the chairs. If the fabric, Barbara found for me, is the same as what I have I might be able to replace all of the arms because they all show a little wear.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming over.
