I am celebrating because this is my

I was told that this large jewel was too big for a short girl like me.  




How can that be? 




I was not deterred.  It has been my Talisman for over 50 years.
Follow your own heart.

    I'm glad you were not deterred, Gina, because the jewel is gorgeous, and I'm sure it fits you perfectly. My mother never put away beautiful things for later, always living by the standard, "The best is barely good enough!"

    Gina, congratulations on 700 posts...wow! Your posts are not just plentiful...they are always beautiful, and generously give us so many colors, design inspiration, and .... always enlarge anyone's notion of what might just be next to an alfalfa field.

      Dear Frances, Our Alfalfa fields are the most prized possessions of them all. They give us grand vistas and ever changing surroundings.
      You also like color. I see it in your beautifully knitted creations. One day I will own one of them.

    Dear Martina, My 64 carat yellow Topaz came from a mine in Montana. It was originally a ring but I never felt comfortable wearing it. The Jeweler who designed the setting was Norman Berndt., a true artist.
