It's a special day.

Celebrating 30 years of
Pioneer Heritage Day Tours.

In 1970 our little town of Spring City, Utah was placed on the National Historic City Register.

Only one other town in the entire country, Colonial Williamsburg, has been so designated.

We are celebrating, as we have for the past 30 years,

Fifty historic homes have been lovingly restored.
Many of them will be open to the public on saturday, the 28th of May.

Pioneer Heritage Day Tours will culminate with an exciting
Art Auction and Art Sale.

And I have been painting.

I'm looking forward to seeing old and new friends.

Champagne is on ice.

My studio is open.

Please stop by.

Gina

    1. Dear Sieglinde, The sun is shining brightly this morning and the forecast is for more of the same in the next few days. Still have a lot to do. Leaving for Europe in the middle of the planting season was not such a good idea.
Wishing you and yours a very happy holiday.

  4. Gina, this will be a fabulous Heritage Day.
It might make you smile to read that although I was born and raised in Virginia, it was some time before I was old enough to realize that most of "Colonial Williamsburg" was a very sensitively done recreation. I still loved visiting there, even after I knew that it was a sort of theme park.
I'm sure that your location is the real thing. Wishing you great success with your open studio. xo

    1. Dear Frances, I remember visiting Colonial Williamsburg. It was many years ago. I didn't realize then or now, that it was a recreation, probably because it was so well done.
We are lucky in this town in that we have several very dedicated people who have taken on the task of restoring some of the historic buildings which have made this little town famous.
I thank you for your good wishes. I always look forward to this day because so many people come from near and far and all of them are so happy to be visiting.
