Be careful what you wish for.



You might not have room for it.

I have loved and coveted this French daybed since I first laid eyes on it many years ago.




Now it is mine and I don't know where to put it.  




For now I have placed it in front of the upstairs bedroom fireplace.  





If we want a fire all we have to do is pull it away.



It is two sided.



If you love something enough,
You will always find a spot somewhere in your house.

    Gina, that daybed has been longing to stand in front of that fireplace as long as you have been imagining it there.

    Bravo to both of you. I'm nosy and would love to know more of the story of how this kismet was arranged. xo

      Dear Frances, A friend of ours, an Interior Designer, had a weekend sale at his country estate. This French daybed was the piece de resistance which, when I first saw it, was placed in a prominent spot in the property's Folly. The entire room was furnished with exquisite antiques, linens, paintings, rugs and fixtures. I would have liked to have picked up the little house (Folly) and taken it home with me.

      Hello Karen, The piece is so new to me that I don't know much about it. What I do know is that a friend of ours purchased the daybed in Paris several years ago. He has since purchased another French Daybed on his his last trip to Paris, one he likes even more. I will try and take a photograph of the metal label which is attached to one of the side rails. Thank you for your visit.

    Dear Gina - your gorgeous Parisian daybed is the perfect tête-à-tête sofa in which to sit and indulge with a glass or two of wine - it is lovely.
