Dear Sieglinde, Celebrate we did. It was a perfect day. Flowers are finally blooming everywhere and our first crop of cherries is ripe. Now, if I could only figure out how to keep birds from stealing them.
Dear Rosemary, The day began with a delicious breakfast served by the community of Mt. Pleasant. Cowboys were getting ready for the Rodeo later. We admired handsome bulls who looked benign while chewing their cud. I knew that they would be ferocious later. Our friend won first prize with her cherry cake and later, the fireworks were extra special. Thee was even a band, my feet would not hold still. All in all the best day.
Dear Gina,
ReplyDeleteI second the motion, Hurrah, Hurrah. It is wonderful to celebrate Independence with such lovely flowers.
Hugs, Sieglinde

DeleteDear Gina - your garden is a wonderful riot of colour - hope you and Mr. G have a very happy 4th July, and celebrate in style.
