Hi Gina, Both, as usual, are beautiful but I think I like the simpler version on the right. The intensity of the blue color is more vibrant and the detail of the winged figure is more evident. Adding a few more details would be OK (like the scrollwork, which I think is amazing), but I think I like the piece without the face - it distracts me a bit and I feel there is too much going on. Which one do you like better? And what are you painting this on? ~Barbara
Hi Barbara, How interesting! I am always amazed at the diversity of opinions and likes and dislikes. My friends have always called me a Gypsy. I love mixing colors and designs, the more the merrier. Although, in my new house I have had to tone things down a bit. I am very surprised that you like the more simple version and your reasons are also very interesting. I hadn't thought of the strange face being a distraction. I am so glad to hear your opinion.
The design is painted on a 4.25x4.25 inch ceramic tile, which by the way, I have listed on eBay under Antiques for $43.
