Gina, every so often we do catch a glimpse of this sort of elegant bird in one of Central Park's lakes.

Hi Frances, I think he is a "Great Blue Heron" but I'm not sure. Sometimes a pair shows up but most often he flies in by himself. He will stay motionles for hours and is very hard to spot.
