Outside in your garden looks very inviting especially if the sun is warm. However, if you have not painted enough yet, then sorry Gina, you must stay indoors! By the way your doors are gorgeous.
Dear Rosemary, Well, I didn't paint at all yesterday but worked in the garden and then we had a glass or two of champagne admiring our work. The doors are over 200 years old and come from Argentina. We found them when we were building our house.
Dear Mark, The doors are very heavy and originally were four feet taller. That part was cut off and we now have a handome cabinet made from the cut off piece. Marbling some of my ceramics is my own invention. The technique is left over from the days I taught decorative painting at our local college.
Dear Gina, Well your garden looks very inviting and so beautiful. What can i say about your ceramics. Yes, you need to paint. Its tuesday today. I have been busy for a few days. I would like to think, that you took both choices. To paint and to take coffee in your garden.! Best wishes val
Dear Val, I painted a bit and I worked in the garden for a little while. And then we threw caution to the wind and celebrated (what?) with a glass or two of champagne.
You should go through the door with a mimosa in hand and sit under the pergola. Enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteOh I hope you took a break from painting in that lovely garden of yours!
ReplyDeleteDear Christine and Steven, We took your advise but first we worked for a few hours in the garden.

ReplyDeleteDear Karen, It was such a warm, almost too hot, day so I was easily persuaded to stay outside for most of the day.
ReplyDeleteYour doors are very handsome — and they look heavy!
ReplyDeleteThe marbleized plate is something I haven't seen before. Is it a technique from your Italian maestro?

Your paintings, garden and door are all very beautiful! Too hard to choose.....
ReplyDeleteDear Nella, Yes I see. You have had the same dilemma. There is never enough time to do the garden justice, especially in the Spring.
