  1. I have never thought to do that Gina - we have lots of grapes this year so much give it a try. We normally just eat them as they are. Is that your house - Villa Vista? - what a lovely name.

  2. Dear Rosemary, I think that you will like this idea. We have had everyone come and pick our grapes, yet still, there were too many. We have tested freezing the juice and it works beautifully. Come winter time the fresh taste of summer will be so welcome. Just leave a little space for expansion at the top of your containers.
Yes, that is the name of our house. It was a natural. We have open views in all directions.

  3. I have never had green grape juice...bet it is delicious. I love the labels on the canning jars. Green grapes (and mangoes) are my favorite fruits.

    1. Hello Marigene, Wish you could taste our Interlaken grapes. I think that they are the finest eating grape anywhere. Printing labels for canning jars is so very easy. I like to use my own images and print them onto ordinary paper then gluing them onto the jars with ordinary school glue.
Thank you for your visit. Have a great week.

  4. Bonjour chère amie,

La couleur de votre raisin pressé est superbe !... Il doit être agréable de retrouver toutes ces vitamines en hiver.

    1. Bonjour chere amie Martinealison, I think I have found an easy way to retain the vitamins and color of my grapes. I didn't process the juice but only froze the juice right after pressing the grapes. We had such a bumper crop this year that I had to invent a new way of preserving them.
Thank you so much for visiting and reading me.

    1. Dear Sieglinde, Now that we are retired I can spend a little extra time growing, harvesting and preserving what we grow throughout the year. With cameras, computers and printers so convenient for the home office it is not difficult to make everything just a bit more special.
Thank you for stopping by. I always appreciate your comments.

    1. Dear Frances, This is the first year that I have tried freezing grape juice. I had to do something with the grapes...we had such a bountiful harvest. Pressing them with sieve and pestled pestle was easy and took very little time. My Interlaken grapes are very thin skinned and have few seeds. In fact it was so easy that I will do it again next year.
Thank you for being such a loyal reader. It is so appreciated,

  7. My mother used a sieve and large wooden pestle just like yours, and we always enjoyed what her hands prepared. I have never canned anything, but freeze blanched produce once in a while. You even make a chore such as this look magnificent and the frozen grape juice, I imagine shall taste very delightful when ready to use it.
Thank you so much for your kind comment to my blog Gina~

  8. Dear Gina,

Like Marigene, I also like your labels. You have many talents, and I do think you would have done very well indeed in the marketing business. Vista Productions, perhaps?

    1. Dear Mark, There you are! Are you ready to come back? Don't you miss us?
Vista Productions, why not. Has the right ring to it. I'll appoint you CEO but we will have to wait until we get back from Italy.
