I know what kind of day it's going to be.
All I have to do is look at my pond.
Does it ever become an every-day-ordinary sight?
No...I never fail to look that direction many, many times a day.
Every season is different.
Winter is always magic.
Ducks hide in the summer heat.
It's hard to pick a season that is my favorite.
The old boat is always ready to take for a spin.
What incredible photos, I'm not sure I could pick a favorite season either. And with that view I'm not sure I'd ever get anything done.
ReplyDeleteHello Mac n. Janet,
DeleteWhen I paint and when my eyes get tired, all I have to do is look up and I am refreshed and ready to continue. Our Pond is a true blessing. Thank you for your visit.
Thank you so very much, Gina, for treating us to a year's views of your pond. Just to see one of those from a window of this apartment would be splendid. You have greatly raised my spirits. xo
ReplyDeleteDear Frances, Wish I could share. I know that you would make the most of it. You will just have to come out West for a visit.
DeleteStunningly beautiful the area you live in Gina. I coudn't say either which season is favorite.
ReplyDeleteHello Olympia, Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a lovely compliment. I have been enjoying your beautiful photographs.
ReplyDeleteGina, what a beautiful place you call home! That pond sure makes a lovely spot to photograph during the changing seasons. Your photos are gorgeous and I would love to be right along side you snapping picture. :) Have a fototastic weekend and God bless!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy, You are welcome anytime to visit and take pictures. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.
DeletePS: I just want you to know that your Google follow isn't working.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy, I don't know why it's not working. It may have something to do with signing up with Google plus. Have you tried the email box?
DeleteWhat a beautiful view you have! Great photos, too.
ReplyDeleteHello Spare Parts and Picks, I am so pleased that you like my photos. Yes, we are very blessed to live in this wonderful valley.
DeleteDear Gina,
ReplyDeleteIt seems your pond is truly magical in winter. What great spectacles it must have provided over the years, and I mean not only when handsome Mr. G was skating on it.
Warm greetings, Sieglinde
Dear Sieglinde, You should see the pond when it really gets cold. We have 200 to 300 ducks taking up the only open water in the valley. Our water source is from a Spring with temperatures of 65 degrees F., it never freezes at its source.
DeleteWelcome home. It's great to have you back.
Wow - you live in a magical place!
ReplyDeleteHello Lady Fi, I think so too. Thank you for your visit. It is so appreciated.
DeleteBonjour chère amie,
ReplyDeleteLa nature offre un si magnifique spectacle... Je vous remercie de partager avec nous les superbes photos de votre bel environnement.
Un lieu où la rêverie se réalise...
Gros bisous à vous
Bonjour chere amie Martinealison, Yes, Nature has been very kind to us. We found this pond more than 20 years ago, just as it is. We have not changed it in any way. We have left it as we found it. Sometimes one can not, or should not, improve on Nature. Thank you for your visit. Hope you are well.
ReplyDeleteNature's blessing, this amazingly beautiful pond! I've always enjoyed you sharing such photos Gina - but this time, include your dear
ReplyDeleteice skating Mr. G. is a bonus!!! Love it.
Dear Mary, We were skating to the Ice Skater's Waltz. Becoming braver and braver and closer to the open water after each glass of champagne.
DeleteHave been admiring your incredible photos from your recent trip to Africa.
