Happy Thanksgiving my dear Friends
My friends have accused me of celebrating my birthday a month before and still a month after my birthday.
A few (not my friends) have asked if my birthday always falls on
Thanksgiving Day. No, Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday.
Duck a L'Orange.
Served with mashed potatoes and gravy, sage dressing, cranberry sauce, caramelized sweet potatoes, and "cabbages in disguise" also known as Brussels sprouts.

ReplyDeleteyour delicious meal has everything I enjoy on my plate as well. We used to prepare a duck rather than a turkey for Thanksgiving, but at our friend's home, where we have spent the holiday in the last couple of years, a huge turkey makes for a traditional table and is also tasty. I hope you had a wonderful day celebrating your special B-day with a glass of Champagne. I certainly had one...........

DeleteYes, I celebrated my Birthday in style. I drank the entire bottle of champagne all by myself. It was a beautiful day, inside and out. The rooms were filled with delicate white roses and the fires were blazing in every fireplaces. We talked of Christmas plans and plans already made for a trip to Portugal in the Spring. And, we had leftovers. More delicious than the day before.
