What are they saying?

They come every year.

Some stay all winter,  some make plans.

Lola and Clyde have to stay...they can't fly.

They will get cracked corn every day.  They don't have to forage.

Have a great week dear friends,

Gina

  1. Dear Gina - even though they can't fly, I imagine that Lola and Clyde are very aware that by remaining with you they have a rather enviable life. Cracked corn every day, a lovely pond and setting in which to swim around - what could be better.

    1. Dear Rosemary,
The reason our pond is so popular is because the area from which the water surfaces never freezes. It measures 65 degrees Fahrenheit no matter how many below degrees it is everywhere else.
Clyde and Lola have been here many years and will be here when we are gone.

  2. I'm sure that Lola and Clyde are happy to be fed and cared for. It's always a wonderful sight to see geese/ducks flying overhead. I love watching them.

  3. Dear Lorrie,
We see many geese and ducks overhead. They always have to look first if the coast is clear. They will not land if a visitor stops by but will come by later. It is not unusual to see 200 to 300 geese and ducks on the pond.
